Baltra joined Dortmund from Barcelona in 2016. After a year and a half, he switched to Real Betis. In a recent interview with Ruhr News, he recalled his time in Dortmund.
Baltra said that a large part of the reason for leaving Dortmund was the arrival of Boss: "At that time, I went from an important member of the team to a dispensable player. I think I can give Dortmund Bringing a lot of things, I am experienced and comprehensive."
During the six months of Boss’s coaching, Baltra played in 13 Bundesliga games and only started 9 times. He said: “When Betis’ offer came, I decided to leave the team. I am very grateful to Tuchel for his trust in me. Thank you for everything he taught me. He is one of the best coaches in Europe. He knows how to make me the best. I respect him very much."
"Everyone in Dortmund treated me very well. I remember the feelings of the fans towards me, and the teammates treated me really well. This is really a big team and it was a good time."
